Kukulcan

Kukulcan
   ‘The Feathered Snake whose Path is the Waters’. Archaic great god of the Mayas who at some later date became merged with Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec culture hero. He invented the calendar and was the god of craftsmen.
   Representations of him in his robe of a feathered serpent appear at Chichenitza. He is also the Gucumatz of the Quiches.
